The highest, constantly inhabited village in the region



Mürren is a small mountain village with 415 inhabitants at the foot of the Schilthorn. At 1650 meters above sea level It lies in the middle of a nature reserve and spoils you with a breathtaking panorama. The car-free resort near Lauterbrunnen is the ideal starting point for excursions, adventures and hikes (altogether about 200km of hiking trails). An ideal family hike is that one to Allmendhubel. After about 1 hour of hiking, you will be rewarded with a view that you will not forgetthat soon: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau seem close enough to touch. The big adventure playground is another highlight for children. Do not forget your camera. An incomparable experience awaits you in and around Mürren.

Mürren is about 50 minutes drive from Interlaken and is car-free! You can reach Lauterbrunnen by car or by train. From Lauterbrunnen you continue with the gondola to Grütschalp, where you change again to a train and finally reach the beautiful Mürren. Alternatively, Mürren can also be reached by the same cable car as Schilthorn.
