Beatenberg, the longest village in Europe, can be easily reached by funicular or by car. With the so far only such gondola lift of Switzerland it continues then on the local mountain of Beatenberg: the Niederhorn.
At almost 2000 meters above sea level have a unique panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and lakes of the Bernese Oberland.
Three different orienteering trails and numerous hiking trails can be explored. And if you are lucky you will see marmots, deer and ibex. Or even the king of the skies - the golden eagle.
From middle station Vorsass you can rent trotti bikes, choose between 2 routes (6km and 12km) and experience a fast or comfortable descent to Beatenberg.
