Don't Disturb

Switzerland has a very strict do not disturb rule.
In many places, normal sleeping hours are con-sidered to be from 10pm to 6am when extra consideration is expected.
Sundays and public holi-days, and workdays between noon and 1pm are also considered to be rest periods.

All cities and most villages have tourist information offices.
Do not hesitate to ask if you need any information.





ISLAMIC DRESS FOR WOMEN

Swiss people are used to Arab and Muslim tourists. Islamic dress for women is acceptable to Swiss society.

The water in Interlaken is safe to drink even from the public fountains.



WATER USE

Many hotels and apartments have parquet floors in the rooms and in bathrooms, please avoid water or wet towels on these floors.


CURRENCY

The Swiss franc is the country’s official currency. Euros and US dollars are accepted in many places. Cash machines are nationwide and you can change currency in all the banks and railway stations.
